  China News Service Chongqing News, September 10 (Reporter Xiao Jiangchuan) Recently, Chongqing New Century Electrical participated in the 2025 Global Energy Internet Conference, showcasing advanced technological applications such as the integration of hydropower multi-energy complementary intelligent control systems with virtual power plants, zero-carbon hydropower parks, and multi-energy complementary development based on small hydropower pumped storage. These innovations sparked widespread resonance and enthusiastic discussions among attending experts, scholars, and enterprise representatives.

  As a core member of the International Small Hydropower Association and an important participant in the domestic energy intelligence field, the company co-organized the parallel forum "Technological Innovation and Standards Leadership, Small Hydropower Multi-Energy Complementarity Promoting Energy Transition." This forum focused on the technical pathways of small hydropower multi-energy complementarity and the integrated collaborative utilization of various energy sources. Through keynote reports and discussion dialogues, it deeply explored how to drive the construction of a new power system dominated by new energy with technology and standards as dual engines, providing forward-looking ideas and practical case support.

  At the forum, Sun Xiaojiang, General Manager of Chongqing New Century Electrical Co., Ltd., delivered a keynote report titled "Small and Medium Hydropower and Wind-Solar-Storage Multi-Source Collaborative Control System." He comprehensively explained New Century Electrical's cutting-edge achievements in multi-energy collaborative control and smart energy management from three dimensions: system architecture, technical practice, and innovative applications. He also demonstrated advanced technological applications such as the integration of hydropower multi-energy complementary intelligent control systems with virtual power plants, zero-carbon hydropower parks, and multi-energy complementary development based on small hydropower pumped storage.

With the full implementation of the dual‑control system for both the total and intensity of carbon emissions during the 15th Five-Year Plan period starting in 2026, key energy‑intensive industrial enterprises are facing an unprecedented transformation challenge. The National Development and Reform Commission and four other departments have issued the “Notice on Launching a Three‑Year Campaign to Tackle Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction in Key Industries,” which focuses on nine sectors, including steel and electrolytic aluminum, and calls for strengthening the tiered recovery and utilization of energy and resources. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and four other departments have jointly released the “Guidance on the Construction and Application of Green Microgrids in Industry (2026–2030),” which explicitly stipulates that, in principle, newly built renewable energy facilities should achieve a local self‑consumption rate of no less than 60%.
